The Taoist - Stargazing | Pet Friendly | Sleeps 4 | Fire Pit

My visit to the cabin this weekend was a wonderful. I enjoyed the family time we had in this beautiful, tiny paradise. I enjoy. I enjoyed hiking with family. I enjoyed the place at night time everything was provided for us and it was honestly great.

My 9 year old son and I had such a wonderful getaway at this cabin. It was so cozy and cute and had everything we needed and more. Most importantly to me, everything was so clean! The setting was so beautiful and peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer but will not hesitate to return! The host was also wonderful. Thank you!

The space is nice inside and out. We even walked our dogs there, and we all loved it. It is quiet with great views.

If you think the photos on the website are beautiful- just wait til you get here! I booked this little piece of paradise as a getaway for my birthday- and it exceeded my expectations. The view from the bed at sunrise is breathtaking. Bring firewood. Have some s'mores (and bring something to put your marshmallows on!). Grill out. Read under the bistro lights. Listen to the SILENCE and be in awe of nature. The 4-wheel drive requirement is not a joke. You'll need that view from the bed to destress from the drive...but it's worth it! I'd suggest making sure you park so that you aren't backing down the driveway when you need to leave. And don't drive a massive vehicle- you'll lose a few years off your life trying to make that turn! There's a sweet family of cats that appear when you grill...don't leave your food out and walk away! The water will smell- but my hair never felt so healthy and it tasted great. I wished I'd filled up every bottle I had and drank more than I did while we were there! Things you might wish you had packed: 1-slippers or thick socks...it's a cold cement floor & you need to take your shoes off! 2-lots of tick spray & tick remover tool 3-a sleep mask..there are curtains you can shut, but it is still bright! 4-a robe We'll be back. And we've sent so many friends and coworkers there that hopefully it won't be booked up for the next 2 years! Also- know your host is SUPER responsive. I had a couple of questions upon checking in and he immediately answered!

Our short stay at The Taoist was a 10/10! The cabin is a little “off the beaten path”, but grouped with the rest of them. It provided a comfortable and cozy atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. Mike, the host, provided all the things we would possibly need and was there if anything were to occur. I would strongly suggest a 4x4 vehicle, especially after rain. Overall, our experience was great and I’m looking forward to staying here again!
