Awesome 🤩. Wife and I loved it. Quiet, peaceful, private. When the advertisement says AWF/4WD required, it means it. There are areas of the road that are steep and gravel. If you’ve never driven in that environment, watch some YouTube videos. I’m not writing this to scare anyone, but to be prepared. I thought it was an easy drive. Others won’t.

We loved staying at the Taoist. As advertised, it is a bit of an adventure navigating the hills to get back to it, but totally worth it. I was glad to have rented a 4 wheel drive SUV, as the downhill assist and 4 wheel drive were important to navigate safely. I wish I'd brought an eye mask to sleep, as I typically sleep in a pitch black room, and with the beautiful windows in the bedroom, should have known better. Other than that, the stay was perfect. It's so close to all of the trails and landmarks, so we got to easily see all we wanted to. Communication was a breeze, as were check in and check out. Would definitely stay here and or with this host again!

My husband and I had the best weekend celebrating our anniversary! It was a rainy weekend and we hardly even left the house! It had everything we needed from coffee and sugar to blankets for snuggling up on the couch or by the fire! It was so cute, quiet, relaxing, homey and clean! We spent most of our time reading or watching tv while we drank our coffee! Perfect way to reset and enjoy each others company! When we had a break in the rain, we hiked and went out to eat which isn’t far from the house at all! 10 out of 10 recommend! We will be back!

Wonderful location! My husband and I found the drive in and out a fun part of our day as we didn’t make it out for any off-roading. Found myself just laying in bed staring through the trees each evening and every morning. Loved the thoughtful moments throughout from the helpful notes to the in case you forgot any bathroom essentials. Communication from Mike was fantastic and much appreciated.

My husband and I booked this for a quick anniversary trip. It is close to tons of hiking and beautiful sites while the cabin itself is tucked away and secluded! It was a beautiful spot and a perfect way to unwind. We truly enjoyed the evenings by the fire pit! The cabin had all we needed for a perfect getaway! I will say that you should take the 4x4 advice. We had a 4 wheel drive but we did see a couple of people come down the drive in small cars and they did make it but had some difficulty with the gravel and the slope. We will definitely be back!!! Oh and there is an amazing bbq place close by but the county is dry on Sunday so you can’t get a beer with it:-) My dog loved the restaurant, hiking and the cabin!!! Lots of pet friendly places near by!
