The Russet - Family Cabin | Hot Tub | Kid Games | King Bed | Sleeps 8

This cabin had everything my family of four and a friend needed. Putting my mom review on hold for a second, this cabin was exactly what we were looking for our micro wedding weekend. With a HUGE master suite upstairs and a second bathroom downstairs, I was able to get ready for my wedding and not take up space from everyone else. The cabin has two separate AC units on each floor and was very pleased with how cool the cabin was after driving in the hot sun. Supplied with truly every essential anyone could need, we didn’t feel like there was anything this cabin was lacking. Even the grill is propane, so you don’t have to buy charcoal to use it. OHHHH and with 100% transparency, my (now) husband and I will be buying the same king mattress that was upstairs… seriously more luxurious than these tired parents were prepared for. I was incredibly impressed as a mom with two under three, as this cabin included a baby gate (we used for the stairs), play pen, and even toddler plates. It even had family games for that nostalgic cabin feel. As our family used MANY towels, I found nearly 15 bathing (separate from hot-tub) towels set out throughout the cabin without having to look for them. THEN, I was even able to do a load of laundry before leaving so I wouldn’t have to worry about all of the dirty laundry when we got home… and of course, the cabin also was stocked with laundry detergent. Just so you know this is a real review, I will include my one mediocre remark: the cabin is newer on more-recently-than-not bought land, on a path that has been less traveled than most. GPS won’t take you to the exact location so you must pay attention to the written (typed??) instructions you’re given… So husbands, either let your wife drive or let her direct you while she reads them to you. If you’re going alone, stop and read them at each point you’re unsure. Okay, if you’ve read my VERY thorough review, book the cabin. You truly won’t be disappointed.

The cabin was nice and cozy and perfect for our family of 6. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We wish our stay was longer!

Couldn’t ask for a better weekend getaway.

My husband and I with our dog had an amazing little honeymoon getaway at The Russet cabin! It was a perfect cabin for us with all the amenities we could need for our trip. We stayed on a snowy weekend and had plenty of warmth inside with the fireplace and extra space heater and stayed cozy outside with all of the provided blankets to enjoy a drink on the deck and watch the snowfall. Absolutely amazing trip and host was very responsive and helped with any questions and gave great directions to get to the property. Would recommend staying here!!

The host was very communicative. We weren't able to access the cabin we reserved because the road was impassable due to a winter storm, but we were moved to another cabin that was nice.
