The Derby - Private Firepit | Outdoor Games | Hot Tub | King Bed | Trailer Parking

We booked the Derby, knowing my sister and her family were staying in the Rock Haus just down the hill. It was an easy walk between the homes. We had our own houses, but shared meals in the spacious kitchen and family living rooms of each silo. The house itself was immaculately clean. The design elements felt luxurious, and who doesn’t love a private hot tub on deck?! 10/10 recommend!

We loved our stay here! It was quiet, clean and very spacious. We had three kids with us so the king size beds were great and they enjoyed the nerf wall. Even though it was hot out, the evenings were cool with all of the trees so we got to use the hot tub. The area is extremely secluded, which is nice but a grocery run was about a half hour away so pack food with you. The kitchen had everything else we needed. Do take a screenshot of the directions because you will not have a signal. We did the ATV tour that was right next door and had a great time. We also did the crystal clear kayaks and that was fun too. When we come back, we will be staying here again. The host was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I don’t think I could say enough about the cute silo we stayed in, the tour guide for the ATVs or the gracious host. Certainly 5 stars!

We highly recommend this incredible and unique silo cabin at the Gorge!! It exceeded our expectations and that included us (parents in our 40’s), our son who is 11 and daughter who is 8. Each room was gorgeous and included king size beds! It was cozy yet big enough with plenty of seating for all of us and even had a color changing fireplace in the living room! It included: a wonderful fire pit with plenty of seating, cornhole, a nice big, hot tub, Nerf guns and laser tag for the kids, family games…it literally had everything our family needed during our stay. The only issue we had was the internet connection but Mike was responsive and assisted us promptly! Five star all around!! Take it from a family who travels a lot and stays in a lot of various cabins, beach homes, etc…this one was definitely our favorite!

Seven friends stayed at The Derby for our annual glamping trip, and we enjoyed it so much! All things were as advertised, and we had plenty of space for all of us. The Hideaways represent the name well, as you will be off the beaten track. The Derby has excellent wi-fi via StarLink, and once we logged in, we had access to all we needed. However, pay attention to the hosts directions provided the day before. You will need them. Signal is spotty in the Red River Gorge Area, but it was great to be somewhat disconnected at times. The ATV trails are also close if that's your thing! The beds were all comfy, and the stocked coffee bar was excellent. The kitchen had all the items you will need. Our group was excited about all the options offered outside, and we made good use of the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay very much, and we would come back again!

From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much thought and care had gone into every detail. The setting was peaceful and private, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. We had more than enough bath towels, hot tub towels, blankets, and extra amenities if you forgot yours. Exceptionally clean house, clear hot tub, comfortable beds and pillows. Fun place to stay for a family with kids. Excellent communication from the host, Mike. We can’t say enough good things about our experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway, don’t hesitate to book this silo style retreat!
