The cabin is the ultimate luxury cabin. All the amenities are first class. From the hot tub to the comfortable bed to the record player to the large walk in shower, the cabin is a great couples getaway.

Me and my wife had an amazing time at the Onyx from the hot tub to sauna to the beautiful views. It is a really awesome cabin that was set up beautifully and the host did an amazing job having it ready for us and accommodating anything that we needed the Redd River Goorgi is such a beautiful place to stay. I highly recommend this stay to anybody looking for a wilderness getaway.

We had an amazing stay at The Onyx! Everything was easy, the hospitality was incredible, and the cabin had such a great vibe. The anniversary package was the perfect touch and made our weekend even more special. We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to come back, hopefully for a little longer next time. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had an amazing week-long stay at The Onyx to celebrate 10 years married! The road up to the cabin is very narrow and steep, so we were happy we drove our truck. Lots of great restaurant options about 30 minutes away. We also spent a day in Lexington (1hr 15min). The hot tub and sauna were great amenities! And we loved the shower, the porch swing, hammock, board games, and record player! 10/10 stay! This was our first time visiting Red River Gorge. We decided next time we’ll try to stay somewhere closer to Slade and Rogers where we found ourselves spending a lot of time — ziplining, underground kayak, Miguel’s pizza, gift shop, visitors center, etc.

What a relaxing weekend getaway. This little cabin is the perfect place for a couple to get away and experience some peace and relaxation with the beautiful nature of the Gorge. Although the cabin is on a road with others, it feels incredibly private both inside and even outside on the front and back porches. There are several amenities at the cabin which makes it easy to stay all weekend and forget the days are passing. Very clean and well maintained. Communication with the owner throughout the booking process was top tier! I would book with them again in a heartbeat, they obviously care very much about their guests. Highly recommended 👌 dont hesitate just do it, you wont regret it!
